Colonna di San Teodoro
עמודת סן תאודורו ניצבת בפיאצטה של ונציה, סמוך לכיכר סן מרקו ולחזית המים. זוהי עמודת אבן גבוהה, ובראשה ניצב תאודורו טירון, הקדוש המגן של ונציה בעבר.
שתי העמודות הוקמו ככל הנראה בין 1172 ל־1177, בתקופת הדוג'ה סבסטיאנו זיאני, והעבודה מיוחסת לניקולו באראטיירי. אפשרות אחרת מציבה את הקמתן סביב שנת 1268, אך בכל מקרה הן ניצבות כאן מאות שנים. תאודורו נראה כלוחם, אוחז בחנית, כשמתחת לרגליו מופיע תנין המזוהה עם סיפור הדרקון שהרג. העמודה השנייה נושאת את האריה המכונף של ונציה, סמלו של הקדוש מרקוס.
העמודות סימנו את הכניסה לעיר מן הים והשתתפו בטקסים, בשווקים, בחגיגות ובאירועים ציבוריים. ציורים והדפסים רבים של ונציה, במיוחד מעבודות קנאלטו, מציבים אותן בתוך נוף הרציף והכיכרות. הניגוד בין האבן הכבדה לבין הפסל הזקוף של תאודורו מספר את המעבר בין הקדוש המגן הקדום לבין מרקוס.
