Kunsthalle Weishaupt
Kunsthalle Weishaupt stands in Ulm as a modern art gallery for Siegfried Weishaupt’s private collection. Its 2007 building presents contemporary works in a spacious setting designed to support clear movement between exhibitions.
The collection grew from more than fifty years of collecting and spans several major movements. Abstract expressionism appears alongside Mark Rothko and Willem de Kooning, while Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein represent American pop art. Concrete art, Zero and Op Art add further directions to the display.
The gallery also works with the city of Ulm and Museum Ulm on exhibitions. Its first floor has housed Museum Ulm during renovation, including presentations of objects and stories from the museum’s collection. Wheelchair access makes the modern galleries easier to explore.
