Theater tri-bühne

Theater tri-bühne brings independent theatre to Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, with performances rooted in the city’s cultural scene. The theatre began as an independent theatrical group. It later found a permanent home near the Tagblatt Turm, where the venue developed its distinctive theatrical programme. Distinct stages shape the venue’s performance spaces for productions. Fixed seating characterises a stage, while another uses a black-box format for varied productions and experimental work. The resident ensemble anchors the theatre’s productions.

Its repertoire moves between tragedy, comedy, classical drama, modern plays, and experimental pieces across varied productions. Guest performers extend the ensemble for selected productions. Theater tri-bühne also builds connections through local, regional, national, and international collaborations, including Gianni with Budapesti Skizo. It organises Greek Film Days with Kalimera e.V. The venue hosts the Stuttgart European Theatre Meeting, known as SETT, within its programme of European theatrical exchange. Wheelchair access supports a broader range of visitors. The organisation operates as a non-profit theatre with support from Stuttgart’s cultural office and Baden-Württemberg’s ministry.
