Igreja de Santa Clara

The Igreja de Santa Clara is a fifteenth-century church in Porto, originally linked to a convent of Poor Clare nuns. Its exterior remains modest, with a plain stone façade. Inside, eighteenth-century gilded woodwork covers the walls, ceiling, side chapels, and altars with baroque carving. Gold leaf catches the light across carved angels and floral motifs.
