The Ministère de la Transformation et de la Fonction publiques occupies the Hôtel de Rothelin-Charolais in Paris, linking administration with early eighteenth-century architecture. This historic building stands in Paris, France.

It was constructed around 1703 for Philippe d'Orléans, Marquis de Rothelin, although the design attribution remains disputed. Pierre Cailleteau, known as Lassurance, is associated with its design.

Louise-Anne de Bourbon-Condé later acquired the property and added Louis XV-style decorations. The property changed hands and functions across several phases.

After the French Revolution, the state purchased the property in 1825, continuing its governmental use. Several public bodies occupied the building over time.

It served as the Ministry of the Interior, the Austro-Hungarian Embassy, and the Council of State. The building was classified as a historical monument in 1980.

Its between-courtyard-and-garden layout reflects an arrangement associated with Saint-Germain-des-Prés during the area's development. The courtyard and garden shape the plan.

Established in July 2020, the ministry focuses on modernising public action and administration in France. Government offices give the site its administrative role.
