Cathédrale Ukrainienne Saint-Vladimir-le-Grand stands in Paris’s sixth arrondissement as the main church of the Saint Wladimir-Le-Grand de Paris Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy. It gathers Ukrainian Greek Catholics in France for worship and community life.
Worship follows the Byzantine tradition within the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which remains in full communion with the Holy See. The eparchy reached its present status in 2013 and answers directly to the Holy See through the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches. Several hundred regular parishioners use the church for worship and community events, keeping Ukrainian religious and cultural traditions present in France.
Parisian surroundings meet Ukrainian practice inside the cathedral, where icons and religious art shape the visitor’s view.
