Parco di Villa Scheibler
Parco di Villa Scheibler spreads across about 43.9 acres in Milan’s Quarto Oggiaro district. Small hills shape the park’s greenery and open unexpected views. An English-garden atmosphere softens the busy city around it.
Its history reaches back to the fifteenth century, when Ludovico il Moro used the grounds as a hunting estate. Later, the grounds became a noble country residence. Since 1979, the public park has combined a botanical garden with football, basketball, and volleyball courts. Walking routes, play areas, and dog zones serve different kinds of visitors.
A popular 0.7-mile trail takes about twelve minutes and passes through landscapes marked by monumental trees. Weeping willows, sequoias, and cherry trees provide memorable landmarks.
