Parco della Lambretta
Parco della Lambretta occupies the former Innocenti Maserati industrial complex in Milan’s Lambrate district. It stands in the Rubattino area.
The park brings industrial history into a landscape of lawns, trees, shrubs and paths. A lake lies above the Lambro River, beneath the city’s ring road, and forms the central feature.
Luigi Caccia Dominioni designed the monumental fountain beside the water. The viale dei platani leads from Via Riccardo Pitteri through the park as a long green boulevard.
Pedestrian and cycling paths cross the open lawns and wooded areas. The planting includes robinia, field maple, white hornbeam, ash, alder, plane, cypress poplar, oak and white willow.
Playgrounds and dog areas provide dedicated spaces for children and pets. The park was formerly known as Parco dell’Acqua and Parco Maserati.
Its transformation belongs to the P.R.U. Rubattino urban regeneration project, which connects new green space with Milan’s industrial past. Some former factory buildings now serve educational purposes.
Parco della Lambretta shows how a former industrial site can combine water, vegetation, recreation and historic structures. Its paths, fountain, lake and mature planting create a distinct public landscape within Milan.
