Palazzo Borgazzi

Palazzo Borgazzi stands in central Milan as a Neoclassical palace built for the Borgazzi family of Monza. Giovan Battista Chiappa designed it between 1828 and 1829.

Its facade presents four imposing telamons, sculpted male figures that appear to support the entrance. An elegant courtyard offers quiet inside the busy city. A stone plaque marks the arrest of Milanese patriot Gaspare Ordoño de Rosales here on 17 May 1832.

The building also carries traces of the Five Days of Milan, the 1848 uprising against Austrian rule. Restoration removed many battle scars, but surviving marks keep that turbulent history visible.
