Giardino Alberto Moravia
Giardino Alberto Moravia occupies a broad green space in Milan’s Municipio Six, among surrounding residential areas. North to south, the main path welcomes walkers and cyclists. Secondary paths reach circular resting areas, while mature trees and extensive greenery create room for unhurried pauses.
Created in 1969 as Parco Berna Ciclamini, the park formed part of a residential-area revitalisation effort. Alberto Moravia gives the setting its literary association. Atlas cedar, asplenifolia and purpurea beeches, field maple, silver maple, and ginkgo biloba shape the planting, bringing varied forms and colours along the paths.
Basketball, volleyball, skating, and football bring organised sport into the open space. A regulation-size football field is managed by Associazione Calcio Pietro Gobetti, alongside playgrounds and designated dog areas. Children, dogs, cyclists, and sports players can each find a defined place within the same park.
