Chiesa di San Gregorio Magno stands at the corner of Via San Gregorio and Via Ludovico Settala in Milan, with red brick walls and grey stone details. The Catholic church displays a neoromanesque exterior. Its projecting facade features two tall round-arched windows and a central portico supported by columns. A mosaic lunette above the main portal depicts Saint Gregory the Great. The church’s history connects closely with Milan’s Lazzaretto, where it served as a cemetery for the quarantine station. The later building replaced an earlier structure designed with Solmi, De Micheli and Poelli. Its single nave combines neogothic forms with Liberty elements. Pointed arches and small circular rose windows shape the interior, while chapels display historical artworks. A wooden crucifix linked to Carlo Borromeo stands in the first chapel on the right. Balbiani-Vegezzi Bossi built the historic organ in 1970, using electric transmission. The square bell tower behind the church houses bells made by Luigi and Giorgio Ottolina after the Second World War.
