Cung Văn hóa Lao động Hữu nghị Việt Xô
The Cung Văn hóa Lao động Hữu nghị Việt Xô is a cultural venue and architectural landmark in Hà Nội, Vietnam.
In English, the venue is known as the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace. Built on the site of the former Hanoi Arena, the palace reflects Vietnam’s historical ties with the former Soviet Union.
A Soviet architect, Garol Grigorevich Isakovich, designed the complex. Its main building rises above a broad site, with parallel structures joined by a flat-roofed terrace.
The palace contains rooms of different sizes for performances, conferences, exhibitions, classes, and other cultural activities. The auditorium includes a revolving stage and technical systems for performances.
Flexible rooms allow several activities to take place within the venue. The palace hosted the APEC summit in Hà Nội.
It also served as the International Press Center for the US-North Korea summit. The venue offers cultural and social activities for people of different ages.
Its architecture combines a large main structure, connected buildings, and a terrace beneath a flat roof. The palace remains a notable setting for national and international cultural events in Hà Nội.
