Construction faced material shortages and French troop occupation before the completed building opened. Later alterations included work during the building’s period within the IG Farben conglomerate and restoration in the early 2000s.
Infraserv Höchst uses the building as its headquarters. The Hoechst pension fund also occupies the site, linking its architecture with the continuing administration of the Höchst industrial area.
The building is not generally open to the public, although special guided tours can include visits. The spot belongs to the Route of Industrial Heritage of the Rhine-Main, which records its regional industrial importance.
