La Croix des Gardes
La Croix des Gardes rises above Cannes as a protected natural park, combining Mediterranean forest, open landscapes, and broad views. The hill preserves local Provençal flora and fauna. Umbrella pines, maquis, and mimosa shape the vegetation, while a botanical arboretum presents many varieties of the flowering tree. Blooming mimosa fills the paths with colour and scent. Trails cross the park and lead to belvederes overlooking the Bay of Cannes, the Lérins Islands, Estérel Massif, and Pre-Alps. Several named belvederes frame different views of Cannes. Birds and donkeys share the landscape, while horses appear near Villa Buhler and its equestrian police station. The park also contains a marked health trail with fitness equipment. Within the park, Château de la Croix des Gardes adds neo-Palladian architecture, Italian-style gardens, and Cannes film history. The estate overlooks the Mediterranean and Lérins Islands. Together, woodland, viewpoints, wildlife, exercise facilities, and the château give La Croix des Gardes several distinct characters within Cannes.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Cannes. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
