Landgut Arndt-Soltmann
Landgut Arndt-Soltmann stands in Bremen’s Oberneuland district as a white-plastered villa surrounded by a park-like garden. Its late-classical design began as a single-storey mansion.
Bernhard Bolte acquired the property in 1871 and sold it to Johann Christian David Arndt in 1872. Bolte completed construction in 1873 for the real-estate agent. The Soltmann family bought the estate in 1909, then commissioned Hans Haering’s renovation in 1912. A second storey and a prominent columned portico transformed the original house. A side garage and rear veranda followed later.
Today, a single-family home occupies the villa within its garden. Bremen has protected the property as heritage since 1973. Four smooth columns with Corinthian capitals define the portico’s distinctive façade.
