Haus Hoogenkamp
Haus Hoogenkamp stands in Bremen’s Oberneuland district as a classicist villa built in 1825. Hinrich Kaars designed its single-storey form, hipped roof, and portico, where Doric columns stand before the loggia.
Conrad Christian Hucke commissioned the original residence, once known as Landhaus Hucke. Johann Georg Poppe added a rear extension in 1874 for Carl Dietrich Christian Westenfeld, while Hans Haering reshaped the back with several bay windows in 1911 for Heinrich Christian Lahusen. The building now combines a practice with a residence and has held protected-monument status in Bremen since 1973.
The clearest detail remains the entrance: a Doric-columned portico set against the restrained geometry of the hipped roof.
