Exponat 1
Exponat 1 stands inside an archaeological museum in Germany’s Grabfeld region. The exhibition unfolds through an old granary, where visible wooden beams frame a central axis and bright cubic cases.
Finds from early human settlements move through themes covering life from prehistory to the early Middle Ages. Stone and bronze tools, pottery, and small ornaments show how people lived in the region. Large illuminated illustrations behind the cases place those objects within scenes of everyday life. The display occupies two floors and covers about four hundred square metres.
Benches and small play stations offer places to pause beside the cases. A careful renovation preserved the historic timber structure while adding modern lighting and barrier-free access. The contrast stays with you: ancient tools and ornaments stand beneath seventeenth-century wooden supports.
