Paviljoen 2
Paviljoen 2 stands within the Innovatie Paviljoen on Amsterdam’s Marineterrein, on the area’s western side. From here, you can look towards the Scheepvaartmuseum and NEMO while seeing architecture tested in practice.
Biobased materials, modular systems, and circular construction methods are developed and tested here. Companies and producers use the space for pilot projects, training, mentorship, and collaboration with Amsterdam’s municipality. Small experiments can therefore inform larger applications across the city, including changes to municipal working methods and organisational culture. Partners such as NPSP, Sustainer Studio, Blueblocks, Woodinc, Stadshout, Zonnext, and the AMS Institute contribute to this living laboratory for sustainable urban development.
The most distinctive detail is close at hand: materials and construction techniques can be seen and touched as experiments take shape.
