Nikolaushof sits on the Nikolausberg near the Käppele, close to Würzburg’s inner city. Its terrace rests beneath old linden and maple trees. A small lake borders the beer garden, while red rooftops lead your view towards the river.

The restaurant serves inter-Franconian specialities and international classics made with fresh, seasonal ingredients from regional producers. Warm-weather visits bring terrace lunches, brunches and themed dinners beside the water. Colder seasons bring Swiss cheese fondues and hearty menus. More than 1,600 bottles fill the wine cellar, with Franconian producers and international regions represented.

The property also includes a barn, pavilion, inner courtyard and Seehaus for weddings, conferences and family celebrations. Up to 60 guests can attend banquets, while conference arrangements accommodate around 45 people. A guesthouse operated here as Molkenkur from 1950, and Johannes Zopfi gave the venue its current direction in 2004. The memorable detail remains the panorama: river light appears between the red roofs beyond the trees.
