The Biebricher Wasserturm rises in Biebrich, a district of Wiesbaden, with brick walls and a copper-covered roof. Built in 1897, the 42-metre tower supplied water to the then-independent town of Biebrich.

A circular reservoir held around 200 cubic metres, while an underground reservoir stored another 1,000. Until 1914, a lookout platform offered views across the surrounding area from a 235-step steel staircase. After Biebrich’s water supply joined Wiesbaden’s system in 1923, the tower was decommissioned. Parts of the underground reservoir disappeared after the site changed hands in 2003, while residential buildings grew nearby. Today, modern development surrounds this former waterworks, leaving its copper roof and tall brick form as a visible reminder of Biebrich’s municipal history.
