Heilig-Geist-Kirche is a Roman Catholic parish church in Vienna’s Ottakring district, designed by Jože Plečnik. Its windowless façade has five entrances and a bell carrier. Built in reinforced concrete, the church follows a basilica-like plan with a raised altar area and side galleries. It is recorded as wheelchair accessible.

Plečnik built Austria’s first reinforced-concrete church between 1911 and 1913, testing concrete as an architectural material. Two beams span the hall and preserve views of the altar. Financial revisions removed a planned Venetian tower, five portal reliefs, and several adjoining buildings. Beneath the altar, a crypt contains three grottos representing Bethlehem, Gethsemane, and Jerusalem’s Holy Sepulchre.

Inside, stained-glass windows show biblical scenes, while Ferdinand Andri’s altar mosaic presents the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. The organ has twenty-nine stops and over 1,800 pipes. Above the entrance, two Pfundner bells weigh 150 and 234 kilograms, and both carry Latin inscriptions. The smaller bell dates from 1930. In April 1945, the crypt sheltered 52 Ukrainian workers, prisoners of war, and escaped soldiers. Red brick fragments in the concrete imitate a rock wall.
