Santissima Annunziata stands in Italy with a neobaroque façade arranged in clearly layered architectural levels. A low portico supports an upper loggia above it. The arches and pilasters create a measured rhythm, making the street-facing composition resemble a carefully arranged stage set. Bronze doors mark the entrance with a restrained material contrast.

Built in 1926 to Bartolomeo Gallo’s design, the church reflects the architectural taste of the nineteen twenties. Giacomo Buzzi Reschini made the doors for this entrance. War damage remains part of its history: two statues fell and outer walls cracked in December 1942. The July 1943 bombing struck the surrounding block harder.

Conservation later included the bell tower, and restoration finished in 2014. Shadow collects in the loggia above the bronze doors, joining design, wartime scars, and restoration.
