The Lenus Mars Temple preserves the remains of a sanctuary that served the local Treveri people. Its stones lie beside a spring on the slope of a hill. A broad staircase once led to the temple, which stood within a walled Gallo-Roman complex. Covered colonnades bordered the temple on three sides.

Here, Lenus Mars joined the Roman god Mars with a local Treveri healer deity. Pilgrims sought healing, comfort and protection at this sacred place. Foundations mark small lodging rooms, chapels and areas where visitors left offerings. The offerings honoured Lenus Mars and the spring goddesses called Xulsigiae.

A cult theatre to the north hosted processions, sacred festivals and the telling of divine myths. The theatre gave sacred stories a place within ritual. The sanctuary therefore records devotion focused on health rather than warfare. Later, people dismantled the complex and reused its stones in new buildings.

Today, the remaining foundations and altar traces show the scale of this ancient religious centre. The ruins preserve a meeting point between Roman forms and Treveri belief. At Lenus Mars Temple, visible stonework links pilgrimage, healing and worship.
