Weidach- und Zettachwald is a nature reserve in Stuttgart’s Filder natural area, between Fasanenhof in Möhringen and Steckfeld in Plieningen. The protected landscape follows part of the Körsch valley. Light deciduous woodland, riverbanks, and two orchard areas create the setting you would see along several hiking routes.

The Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart designated the area in 1990, while the wider site belongs to FFH area 7321-341 Filder. The Weidach Schonwald covers 12.2 hectares within it. Forstdirektion Tübingen designated that woodland in 2002, adding protected forest to the valley’s mosaic of habitats. Rare and endangered species find shelter among these connected habitats and the surrounding cultural landscape.

The light woodland and Körsch banks support the protected blue star and broad-leaved helleborine orchid. The water shrew is one of the mammals living here. Several hiking routes let you move between woodland, riverbank, and orchard habitats in one walk.
