Il Punto is a public sculpture by Christoph Freimann in Stuttgart, where geometric construction meets the city’s everyday surroundings. Created in 1998, the work reflects the constructivist approach that shapes much of Freimann’s art.

Freimann combines angles and profiles to form complex structures from simple geometric elements. Born in Leipzig in 1940, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and has presented his work in more than 130 exhibitions worldwide.

Bright colours and sharply defined forms give this Stuttgart installation its distinctive visual character.
