In France, Église Saint-Antoine presents a modern church with bold lines and a distinctive geometric silhouette. Georges Muller and Ferdinand Klee designed the building between 1959 and 1961 for a growing neighbourhood. Instead of a traditional elongated nave, an equilateral plan directs your gaze towards the altar. A broad narthex welcomes visitors before the sanctuary, while two chapels and communal rooms extend the space.

The façade combines a geometric screen with a curved form known as a “gendarme’s hat”. Behind the sanctuary, a dynamic bell tower rises sharply and gives the structure its vertical accent. Inside, vivid stained-glass windows bring colour to a space shaped by post-war architectural optimism. Regional artworks include a Virgin by André Bosshardt and a Baptism of Christ by Paul Bony.

The left-hand chapel serves weekday worship, while the chapel on the right stands beside practical gathering rooms. The triangular interior remains the clearest detail, narrowing the building’s focus towards the altar.
