Thian Hock Keng Mural stretches forty metres along the rear wall of Thian Hock Keng Temple in Singapore. Created by local artist Yip Yew Chong, it traces early Hokkien immigrants from China towards Singapore and a hoped-for future.

The scenes move through emotional farewells, a perilous sea crossing and nineteenth-century Telok Ayer Bay. At the centre, a procession welcomes Mazu, the sea goddess, in eighteen forty. Tan Kah Kee and Lee Kong Chian appear alongside stories of education and school-building, while the Singapore River frames a grandfather and granddaughter at the close.

The mural was commissioned by Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan and unveiled during the Singapore Hokkien Festival in two thousand seventeen. Its storytelling also extends into augmented reality through the Locomole app.
