Villa Weissdorf stands in Saarbrücken-Malstatt as a protected monument and former grand bourgeois villa. The building also bears the name Director’s House of the Burbacher Hütte.

Berlin architects Alfred Salinger and Eugen Schmohl designed the building for industrialist Edmund Weisdorff in the early twentieth century. Its neobaroque form occupies a nearly rectangular plan beneath a mansard roof.

The villa sits at the rear of a spacious park with a representative gatehouse and coach house. Gray-brown sandstone frames the windows, doors, sills, parapet panels, and cornices.

On the garden side, a central section and projecting wings create a formal façade facing the park. Round-arched openings shape the ground floor.

A terrace balustrade with sculptures rises above the entrance hall, while dormers with oval windows animate the mansard roof. The roofline carries prominent cornices and voluted details.

Inside, a large vestibule leads towards representative rooms including a salon, gentlemen’s room, and dining room. Upper rooms provided bedrooms and dressing rooms.

The attic contained guest rooms and staff quarters, while the grounds once included a greenhouse. The property also reflects Saarbrücken’s industrial history.

After serving industrial, administrative, and consular purposes, the villa became privately owned.
