Anna Ģertrūde Vērmane stands in Vermanes Garden, Riga, as a monument ensemble with a granite obelisk and two lions. The park grew from her donation of 2,000 gold rubles for a public green space outside the old fortifications.

Her son Johann Christoph Wöhrmann commissioned the first obelisk in 1829, while the lion sculptures joined it in 1884. Soviet authorities demolished the obelisk in 1954, but reconstruction restored the ensemble in 2000 through work by Inga Medne, Sandrs Skribnovskis, and Edvīns Krūmiņš. Ivars Felbergs restored the lions in 2011.

German inscriptions cover the obelisk, including a dedication to the garden’s founder and a note about its 1829 erection. The surrounding Vermanes Garden opened to the public in 1817 on the former esplanade of Riga’s fortifications.
