Xhamia e Sinan Pashës is one of Prizren’s significant Ottoman-era mosques, built by Sofi Sinan Pasha, an Albanian statesman. It was completed in the early seventeenth century.

Its central dome and tall minaret form a visible landmark above Prizren’s main street and skyline. The mosque has a square prayer hall. Stone steps reach the northern entrance porch, whose three small domes rest on round stone columns. Lead covers the principal domes and the minaret’s pointed cone.

Inside, windows at several levels illuminate floral and calligraphic motifs across the dome, walls, and wooden minbar. The mihrab has an Ottoman stalactite-style hood. Interior paintings represent three phases, from al secco decoration in earlier centuries to blue-toned Baroque work. Original stone flooring and wooden elements remain inside.

Some construction stones are believed to come from the nearby Monastery of the Holy Archangels. The history of those building stones remains debated. Rainwater and weathering damaged plaster, wall paintings, and exterior stone before restoration work returned the mosque to worship. The mosque received permanent cultural protection in 2016. A traditional café on the south side looks towards this monument of exceptional cultural importance in Prizren.
