Kolonnade mit Triumphtor stands west of the New Palace in Sanssouci Park, Potsdam. A semicircular colonnade stretches for more than 100 metres, framing the palace with a broad architectural sweep. At its centre, the triumphal gate rises 24 metres above the historic grounds.

Together with the Communes, the structure once framed the festival grounds known as the Mopke. Restoration renewed 60 sculptures, lawn mirrors, pathways and historic chestnut plantings around the colonnade. The setting now belongs to the Sanssouci ensemble and also accommodates events such as fashion shows.

The 24-metre gate gives the approach its strongest focal point, while the long curved colonnade leads your eye towards the New Palace.
