Gut Neuhof stands in Heimsen, a district of Petershagen on the right bank of the Weser River. The former manor house presents a two-storey building, an axial driveway and economic buildings on both sides.

Sophie Klenke founded the estate in 1599 by merging four noble farms from Schlüsselburg’s forecourt across the river. Johann Georg Voigt acquired it in 1698, then rebuilt the baroque estate buildings around a central axis during the early eighteenth century. The present manor house dates from 1748, while the preserved garden follows the same baroque layout.

A pavilion marks the Weser side of the garden, and the privately owned estate now provides 123 residential places for people with disabilities. Gut Neuhof remains partly open to the public, with its architecture carrying traces of historic disputes over grazing rights and forest management.
