The Dr. Moritz Oppenheim Stolperstein lies in Petershagen as a small memorial with a brass-plated surface. It marks the last known home of a Jewish resident persecuted under Nazi rule.

Dr. Moritz Oppenheim served Petershagen as a community doctor and municipal politician. In 1938, the Nazi regime stripped him of his medical licence, and in 1941 he and his wife Hanna had to leave their home on Mindener Straße. Deportation took them from Petershagen to Theresienstadt in July 1942, where he died on 5 October, aged 72. Hanna Oppenheim was later sent to Auschwitz and declared dead on 29 January 1943.

The first Stolpersteine in Petershagen were laid in June 2009 through the Alte Synagoge Petershagen working group. Local students, including class 10 A1 at Hauptschule Petershagen, clean and polish the brass while studying the lives behind these memorials.
