La Renommée de la guerre is a statue by Léopold Steiner on the Pont Alexandre III in Paris. The figure belongs to an ornate river crossing above the Seine. It links the Esplanade des Invalides in the seventh arrondissement with the Champs-Élysées quarter in the eighth.

The bridge spans 107 metres and combines late nineteenth-century engineering with sculpture. Tsar Nicholas II laid its foundation stone in 1896, commemorating his father Alexander III and their Franco-Russian alliance. Résal and Alby directed construction, and the bridge opened during the 1900 Universal Exhibition. That setting placed it beside the Petit Palais and Grand Palais, while four gilt-bronze equestrian groups helped stabilise the structure.

Look for Art Nouveau lamps, cherubs, nymphs and winged horses among the decoration. Four monumental candelabra by Henri Désiré Gauquié add cupids and sea monsters. Hammered copper keystones show the Nymphes de la Seine and the Nymphes de la Néva, both made by Georges Récipon. Each equestrian group stands beneath a Fame restraining Pegasus, giving the crossing its most memorable silhouette.
