Élysée Montmartre stands in Paris, France, as an architecture landmark and music venue. It opened as a ballroom in 1807. That room became famous for the Can-Can during the nineteenth century.

The programme later expanded to concerts, boxing matches and wrestling shows, especially on French television from the 1950s to the 1980s. French television carried those contests for decades. From the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, Patti Smith, Alain Souchon and Jacques Higelin appeared on its stage. Maupassant also featured it in The Mask. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec drew inspiration from the place for paintings.

David Bowie performed there during his Hours Tour in 1999, and that performance later became a live album. Symphony X and Cradle of Filth recorded live albums and DVDs at the site. A fire in 2011 prompted rebuilding, followed by reopening in 2016. The rebuilt venue accommodates concerts and private gatherings.
