Ca la Torre, also known as Cal Marquès de la Torre, stands on Palma’s old city wall. Military engineer Martín Gil de Gaínza designed the house. Construction ran from 1696 to 1738, combining Mallorcan manor traditions, baroque details, and military engineering. The Trullols family commissioned the new house in Palma. Its sloping base of local stone and symmetrical openings give the wall-facing façade a fortress-like character. Nine porch openings sit beneath a four-sided roof.

The courtyard opens from Carrer de la Portella through a rounded arch beside medieval fortifications. The house includes a fourth level between the main floor and porch. An elliptical staircase from the nineteenth century leads to the main floor, where the Trullols coat of arms appears above it. Four large rooms retain high ceilings and wooden coffered ceilings. Two rooms function as exhibition spaces within the house. The other two form a library with a neo-Gothic chimney bearing the family crest.

The vaulted basement, once a small boatyard, serves as an event hall. The Official College of Architects of the Balearic Islands acquired the house in 1972 and restored it. Further works included porch restoration in 1985 and renovations between 2001 and 2003. The building preserves its family history while accommodating architectural and cultural uses.
