Sankt-Anna-Pfarrkirche stands in Munich’s Lehel district as the area’s main parish church, opposite the Abbey Church of St Anna.

Architect Gabriel von Seidl designed the building in the Romanesque Revival style. Construction took place between 1887 and 1892, during Lehel’s growing nineteenth-century population. The church bears the dedication to Saint Anna. The exterior carries a tympanum relief of the Last Judgment, while the interior presents a fresco above the high altar. Rudolf von Seitz painted the high-altar fresco in 1898. Anton Pruska created the exterior tympanum relief.

The building forms the centre of St Anna Square, with restaurants and cafés nearby. St Anna Square provides the church with its setting. The site record includes wheelchair accessibility. Major restoration continued from 1954 to 1972. The church suffered wartime damage and received complete tower renovation after a storm in October 2014. Wheelchair accessibility is among its recorded properties.
