Palazzo Lurani Cernuschi stands on Via Cappuccio in Milan, presenting a neoclassical facade across three distinct levels. Its ground floor uses smooth ashlar masonry. Two arched portals originally opened the building, although one now remains sealed beneath balconies supported by brackets carved with lion heads. The restrained facade reflects neoclassical design associated with the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

The Castelbarco family built the palace in the sixteenth century, and the Lurani Cernuschi family acquired it during the nineteenth. Their ownership connects the building’s earlier structure with its later identity. Inside, a rectangular courtyard sits behind a portico supported by granite columns in the Tuscan order.

Heavy bombing during the Second World War caused substantial damage and led to significant restoration. Granite columns with sturdy, unadorned forms now surround the courtyard, contrasting with the lion-headed brackets outside.
