Chiesa parrocchiale di Santa Maria Beltrade stands in Milan’s Nolo district as a church shaped by architecture, art and liturgical meaning. Its facade combines Neoromanic forms with concealed Art Deco details. The building was the first church designed by the Beato Angelico Art School, founded by Monsignor Giuseppe Polvara. Segmented arches and geometric lesenes mark the exterior. Reinforced concrete supports a modular structure that joins exposed brickwork with prefabricated concrete elements and restrained decoration. Its rectangular plan separates the sanctuary, presbytery and chapels clearly. Inside, liturgical paintings by Antonio Martinetti, Ernesto Bergagna and Eliodoro Coccoli recall early Christian churches. The apse presents Jesus nailed to a weeping willow, whose roots form springs linked with the sacraments. The church is wheelchair accessible.
