Anna Lisa stands in Slottsparken beneath the bridge toward Kungsparken, close to its original garden setting. Anders Olsson carved the girl in 1906. Her hair curls like a living vine, while a slender hoop forms a delicate frame around her body. The frozen pose captures a child absorbed in play.

Jugendstil shapes turn organic lines into movement across the sculpture’s surface. Four turtles gather at her feet. Their slow, patient presence contrasts with the girl’s lively concentration on guiding the hoop with a stick. The sculpture stood for nearly a century in a library garden before moving here in 2000.

The hoop and stick had disappeared when the figure arrived at the new location. Both were recreated to restore the scene. From nearby benches, you can watch park visitors pass the moment of play beneath the bridge. The turtles remain its quiet counterweight, holding stillness beneath the girl’s captured motion.
