Walterstein bei Lorsbach is a natural rock formation above the Schwarzbach valley in Germany’s Taunus landscape. Dense woodland surrounds the outcrop, with grassy clearings and shrubs between the trees. Moss and small plants cover parts of its surface, while a wooden bench marks the nearby viewpoint. A steep drop leads towards the valley, while branches reveal the distant plain beyond.

The rock stands inside a protected area of about five hectares carrying the same name. That reserve provides habitat for rare plant species. It also serves as an important breeding ground for birds of prey. A short path from Schinderhannes Steig reaches the stone through wooded hills. Walkers and nature observers use nearby forest paths.

At the clearing, the trees part briefly, letting the view cross the valley towards the distant plain. The ground falls steeply beyond the bench. The simple wooden seat stands beside the moss-covered stone at the edge of the clearing.
