Glockenring in Linz comprises two iron rings set into the pavement, each preserving a story about a major Austrian bell. One lies beside the Dreifaltigkeitssäule, near the former Pruner family house. Its 193.6-centimetre outer diameter matches the bell called Kaiserin, presented here before entering the Stadtpfarrkirche. The ring carries the year 1693 and commemorates a bell with roots in the late fifteenth century.

The second circle stands before the southern portal of the Linzer Landhaus, where the Pummerin waited before travelling to Vienna. Its 3.14-metre inner diameter matches Austria’s largest bell, rebuilt after wartime destruction with metal from its predecessor. A bronze plaque at the centre records the departure, while the surrounding pavement marks the bell’s enormous scale. Together, these monuments connect Linz with church bells, public ceremony and the movement of objects through Austrian history.
