Parroquia Nuestra Señora de La Luz stands in La Isleta with a restored façade shaped by light and material. Its architecture links the exterior with the nave.

Artist Alberto Trujillo directed the rehabilitation, which recovered concealed fragments from the façade and guided its reconstruction. One surviving rosette provided the model for the others.

Inside, the church preserves an image of Our Lady of the Light by Gran Canarian sculptor José Luján Pérez. The sculpture dates from the late eighteenth century. A late nineteenth-century vía crucis and French-made stained-glass windows add further detail to the interior. French-made stained-glass windows bring colour into the interior.

Laureano Arroyo designed the present temple during the first quarter of the twentieth century, replacing earlier hermitages. Its half-dome vaults connect the church with the cathedral at Plaza de Santa Ana. The façade offers a deliberate visual passage from light outside to the nave within. This light gives the church its central architectural idea.
