Sankt Thomas von Canterbury is a Catholic parish church in Edenhausen, part of Krumbach in Bavaria’s Günzburg district. The church’s documented history reaches back to 1209. After a fire, Simpert Kraemer rebuilt the church in Baroque style in 1735. The reconstruction took six months. Its later consecration followed eleven years after construction ended. A later cold-lightning strike destroyed most of the interior, but the 1665 Maria Schnee image survived. The surviving image inspired pilgrimage to Edenhausen.

Secularization in 1805 brought plans to demolish the church and merge its parish with neighbouring Attenhausen. Those demolition and merger plans did not succeed. Later renovations reshaped the interior, combining restored Baroque furnishings with selected neo-Romanesque elements. The tower gained sixty feet in 1867. Anton Hörmann created the 1949 high altar, showing the crucified Christ with a distinctive raised-finger gesture. Sebastian Hausinger painted the church’s frescoes in 1948. They show the Annunciation and the Coronation of Mary. The nave ceiling painting includes Edenhausen, Thomas Becket and Saint Ulrich, linking the church with its village and the Diocese of Augsburg.
