Église Sainte-Hélène stands in the historic hamlet of Plan de Grasse, within Grasse in France’s Alpes-Maritimes. A single nave and broad tribune above the entrance define its rural eighteenth-century layout. Its plain facade rises to a bell tower with a clock and wrought-iron campanile.

Built in 1756, the church reflects the architecture of rural chapels from that century. The bell tower arrived in 1867, adding a later landmark to the original structure. Baptisms, weddings, funerals and worship have connected these walls with community life for generations. In 2019, safety concerns closed the building after the tribune risked collapsing.

Restoration began at the end of 2021, reinforcing the vault and renewing the roof and framework against water damage. Residents, local businesses, Grasse and regional authorities all supported the work through funding and organisation. The first phase ended with a reopening ceremony attended by officials, parishioners and local residents. A fresh ochre facade now accompanies the illuminated tower, whose clock and ironwork stand out across the hamlet in the evening.
