Heiligkreuz-Kapelle stands on the Kalvarienberg near Füssen, surrounded by wooded hills and pilgrimage paths. The chapel sits at about 944 metres above sea level. The route begins around Füssen, passes elevations near 808 metres and 883 metres, and can continue towards Unterpinswang at 819 metres. Forests, hills and occasional views towards the Lechfall accompany the way, bringing devotional architecture and Alpine scenery together.
