Schloss Steinach is a protected monument in Fürth, Bavaria, within the Steinach district. The rectangular castle building rises across two storeys. Builders erected the present baroque castle between 1659 and 1661. Sandstone blocks form the ground floor, while plaster covers the upper floor. The rusticated corners mark the castle’s solid exterior. On the east side, a gabled roof carries dormer windows, and a stair tower rises on the west.

Stucco from the construction period remains in the hall. The ground-floor hall contains rich baroque ornament, including winged female figures with long, curly hair and leaf-shaped legs. These figures are interpreted as harpies from Greek mythology. Italian style shaped this unusual stucco work in seventeenth-century Nuremberg. Originally, the site combined an oversized farmhouse with surrounding buildings, a garden, and an enclosure. That arrangement gave the estate a stately character. Changes to the façade removed some original decorative elements over time. In the early twentieth century, a café made the castle a popular local destination. A farm entered the holdings of Nuremberg’s burgraves in 1326. By the mid-fourteenth century, Nuremberg citizens owned it. The Loeffelholz family rebuilt the castle as a seventeenth-century summer residence for patricians. The Schloss Steinach site houses the Streetlife Studios.
