Rosa Junghans, born Lyon, is commemorated in Frankfurt by a Stolperstein set into the pavement. The brass plaque marks a place of remembrance.

Rosa lived with her family in Palmstraße, a street now known as Julius Heyman Straße. Her husband Bodo worked as a scribe and used-furniture merchant.

Rosa’s household later included her daughter Erna, Julius Fuld, and grandson Kurt. The family shared Rosa’s home in Frankfurt.

Deportation separated them from their Frankfurt home and led to murder in the Holocaust. Lublin and Majdanek mark parts of this story.

Rosa, Erna, and Kurt were murdered in the Lublin region, while Julius Fuld died at Majdanek. Her son Oskar died during an escape attempt at Mauthausen.

Another son, Hugo, married Charlotte Loeser on the day of their deportation to Theresienstadt, where their daughter Eva was born. Hugo later perished after his transfer to Auschwitz.

The memorial connects a Frankfurt address with the destruction of a family under Nazi persecution. This Frankfurt spot is wheelchair accessible to visitors.
