Paulskirche stands in Frankfurt as a neoclassical circular building and former Protestant-Lutheran church. Johann Friedrich Christian Hess designed its round structure. The constitution remains unfinished after that resistance.

Second World War destruction makes the building Frankfurt’s first rebuilt structure after the conflict. Its reconstruction represents both freedom and democracy. An inserted floor separates the basement from the main hall, altering the original interior arrangement. The former church hosts exhibitions and events instead of religious services, including the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade. John F. Kennedy delivered a speech here in 1963.
