The Gutenberg-Denkmal stands as a monument and fountain at Roßmarkt in Frankfurt am Main. It honours Johannes Gutenberg and his collaborators, Johannes Fust and Peter Schöffer. Sculptor Eduard Schmidt von der Launitz created the monument for the history of movable type printing. The original terracotta statues later became bronze through galvanoplastic casting. Rudolf Christian Böttger developed the technique used for this transformation. The monument first appeared publicly in 1840, while its sandstone pedestal and base followed between 1856 and 1858. That construction replaced an earlier Hercules fountain.

Three life-sized figures show Gutenberg, Fust and Schöffer. Fourteen portraits honour printers and publishers from different centuries, including the monument’s creator. Four coats of arms identify Mainz, Frankfurt, Strasbourg and Venice. Four allegorical figures represent Science, Industry, Poetry and Theology beneath the pedestal. Animal heads serve as water spouts below them. The bull, lion, elephant and llama represent Europe, Africa, Asia and America, respectively. Four basins collect water during warmer months. The recorded site is accessible to wheelchair users.
